Robyn’s session: extending the care giving attitude to yourself, too
After her session, Robyn said “I am really shy getting my photo taken. I prefer to be in the background, unnoticed and working away. [Then] I had this amazing, life changing photoshoot with my friend and work colleague Carmen who really found something in (me) ON CAMERA.” Robyn recognized that she’s gone through challenges recently, and credits her career with pushing her forward every day. When she did her own hair and makeup and had her own portrait experience, things really clicked for her. “This photographer captured my soul and she made me see beauty in myself. This was an incredible experience for my mind, body and soul.”

Alignment, self-care, self-expression, and recognition
The best part about both of these days is the memories these girls created together, the fun they had, the smiles, the mishaps, the experience of being together in that moment in a way that allowed Nikki to tell her daughters “YOU are what is important to me” and in a way that allowed her to remember that she is important all on her own, too.

Professional photoshoots for men
Professional portraits aren’t generally associated with men, but consider all the reasons anyone would have occasion to participate in an experience like this … dating profiles; headshots for your business cards, socials, and websites; Christmas gifts for your adoring family; or simply for yourself, to remember what you’ll later refer to as your “glory days.”

Motherhood and sense of self
In terms of a celebratory transformational portrait experience then, if motherhood is so deeply engrained in us and is THE thing that fills us with light and joy, does it make sense that we would include that as part of the whole thing? Well yes, yes it does.. if you want it to.

You’re (not) so vain
In an era dominated by digital snapshots and fleeting social media posts, the act of printing photographs might seem antiquated. But you can’t deny there’s special about holding a tangible print in your hands, especially when it features your own image.

Yeah, you need a headshot for that.
Bonnie’s true calling led her back to University, where her passions put her in positions that required a professional image to represent her online.
